Program Research Student 2010
1.Kedutaan Besar Jepang membuka penawaran beasiswa kepada mahasiswa/mahasiswi Indonesia untuk melanjutkan pendidikan di universitas di Jepang sebagai research student pada tahun 2010 dalam Program Beasiswa Pemerintah Jepang (Monbukagakusho).
2.Peminat pada waktu menjalani research student diperbolehkan melamar ke program degree (master/doctor/professional graduate course) atau meneruskan program doctor degree setelah menyelesaikan program master degree atau professional graduate course, apabila lulus seleksi tes ujian yang diberikan oleh universitas yang bersangkutan.
3.Persyaratan untuk melamar, sbb
(1)Pelamar lahir pada dan setelah tanggal 2 April 1975
(2)IPK minimum 3,0 atau nilai EJU (Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students) minimum 260 dalam jumlah 2 mata ujian tidak termasuk Bahasa Jepang
(3)Nilai TOEFL minimum 550 atau ekuivalen atau lulus Tes Kemampuan Bahasa Jepang Tingkat 2

We are pleased to announce a fully funded PhD studentship in the Control and Power group here at Imperial College London. The general area of research would be wide-area monitoring and control of power systems.
The applicant should have a post-graduate degree (MSc, MEng) or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with a strong background and interest in power system stability, control and modelling and simulation in general. Candidates having BEng or equivalent degree with exceptional background and proven ability in the above areas are also encouraged to apply.
Experience with Matlab/Simulink (including toolboxes for control design) and at least one commercial power system software package (e.g. DigSilent, PSS E etc.) is desirable.

National Center of Competence in Research - ‘Frontiers in Genetics’, Switzerland
Starting in October 2009
Frontiers in Genetics proposes an international program for doctoral training, supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation. This program is based at the University of Geneva, and includes participating members from all of our NCCR’s institutions. The program starts in October 2009 and provides a strong background in molecular genetics and genomics to address cutting edge biological issues.

Applications are now open for a 3 year APAI PhD scholarship. The position is funded by a multidisciplinary Australian Research Council Linkage grant.
Applicants wishing to pursue a PhD as part of this multidisciplinary project are sought in one of the following three areas: (1) Chemical Ecology, (2) Population Genetics, (3) Climate Change modelling or a combination of these fields.

Gilman International Scholarship Program Deadline Approaching

The Gilman International Scholarship Program provides awards of up to $5,000 for U.S. undergraduate students to study abroad for up to one academic year. Rave Scholarships for Curators, Restorers, Museum Technicians and Cultural Managers
The Rave Scholarships contribute to further practical training in arranging and realizing exhibitions. Twice a year the Rave Foundation awards these scholarships to curators, restorers, museum technicians and culture managers from countries in transition and developing countries.
